The internal guna conflict between Ascendent and Sixth house.

On this Guru Poornima day, this article is devoted to the lotus feet of my Guru Yogiraj Swami Sri Madwanand ji,  and all Jyotish Gurus who guided me, taught me.

Lagna is the personality himself.

Every things in the horoscope rotates around the Lagna.
Individual’s presentation, orientation, will, expression, ideals,  all are seen from lagna. It is the focal point of all matters, whether one will rise or fall.

There six virtues or गुण  (Goodness of creation) as stated in Vedic Sastras which are embodiment of God.

These six virtues are : [Sadak Sanjivini,Gita press, page 42 at reference column] :

ऐश्वर्य, श्री , धर्म, ज्ञान , यश and वैराग्य

Aiśvarya, śrī, dharma, jñāna, yaśa and vairāgya

From another Vedic source :

ऐश्वर्य, सौंदर्य , धर्म, ज्ञान , कीर्ति  and वैराग्य .

Aiśvarya, saundarya, dharma, jñāna, kīrti and vairāgya

The  possession of any one or more virtue comes under the term ‘raj yoga’ in horoscope. If person have all six qualities\virtues than he is called an ‘avatar’ (अवतार ) or incarnation of God.

If lagna is strong, connected with benefic planets, having quadrant – trines relationship  than these virtues to some extent flourish in the human being and becomes an ansh avatar

(अंश अवतार) partial incarnation of God.

Now for any rajyoga which makes the person partial incarnation of God than virtues must be related to Satwic planets.

Hence in my view I had classified these virtue, as per mine thinking among in only three Satwic (सात्विक) planets Sun, Moon and Jupiter in the following way :

Satwic Planet	Aiswarya ऐश्वर्य : Majestic, live and let live, non violence. Saundharya सौंदर्य : Charm, no hatred for anything, spreading love.	Moon
Satwic Planet	Sri श्री: abundance ,there should be only love no hatred.	Moon
Satwic Planet	Dharm धर्म: righteous natural universal law.	Jupiter
Satwic Planet	Gyan ज्ञान : wisdom, enlightenment	Jupiter
Satwic Planet	Kirti \ Yash कीर्ति \ यश : glory, fame, brightness.	Sun
Satwic Planet	Vairage वैराग्य : Sacrifice for dharma, Detachment.	Sun

If kendre, trikone and these planets are strong with respect to lagna and lagnesh their respective virtues will be in-cumulated in one’s life.

Gaj-Kesari  yoga (Moon + Jupiter) which is too much praised, builds the above attributes if this is strong in the horoscope .

Lal Kitab says for first house

‘यह झगडा है रूह और माया का’

“Yaha jhagaḍā hai rūha aura māyā kā “, this line has very deep meanings.

Now, human is born with weaknesses and its main aim as per sastra of it’s birth is to empower all weakness through efforts (कर्म) and to reach final emancipation (मोक्ष).

The weakness of the human being is seen by sixth house in the horoscope. It represent Nija Dosha (निज दोष), i.e. the mistakes and negligence  due to own nature or lack of positive efforts.

There are six weaknesses as per Vedic Sastras known as Sadripu ( षडरिपू : Weakness of creation) also called as six enemies. These are :

काम, क्रोध, लोभ, मोह, मद, मत्सर.

Kāma, krōdha, lōbha, mōha, mada, matsara.

Weakness cannot be Satwik in nature as per its definition [In Bhagwat Gita, chapter 14 verses 5-18. all three Gunas has been completely described].

So, we completely avoid Satwik planets and Rajasic and Tamasic nature planets will play there role.

The list of weaknesses compared with remaining planets are as follows in the table :

Rajasic	Mercury	मत्सर (Matsar) : Jealousy. Envy
Tamasic	Mars	क्रोध (Krodha) : Anger, Hatred
Tamasic	Saturn	मद (Mada) : Pride, intoxication, Drunkenness
Tamasic	Rahu	लोभ (Lobha) : Material Greed.
Tamasic	Ketu	मोह (Moha) : Attachment, Ignorance \ delusion of mind.

These weakness are the reasons of disease as written in Ram Charit Manas Uttara Khand Doha 120 : (only part is produced here) :

मोह सकल व्याधिंह कर मूला ! तिन्ह ते पुनि उपजहिं बहु सूला !!

काम वात कफ लोभ अपारा ! क्रोध पित्त नित छाती जारा !!

प्रीती करहिं जौं तीनिउ भाई ! उपजइ सन्यपात दुःखदाई !!

Mōha sakala vyādhinha kara mūlā! Tinha tē puni upajahiṁ bahu sūlā!!

Kāma vāta kapha lōbha apārā! Krōdha pitta nita chātī jārā!!

Prītī karahiṁ jauṁ tīni'u bhā'ī! Upaja'i san'yapāta duḥkhadā'ī!!

“Moha (ignorance) is the root cause of all disease, Krodha (anger)  is the cause for ‘Pitta’ which burns chest , Kaama(lust) is Vata, and Lobha (greed) is exceed Kapha (कफ) . If person has affection with above all three brothers (vata, pitta, kapha) than he will face disease of serious nature, epilepsy, paralysis. (सन्यपात दुःखदाई)”.

Please go through the complete paragraph of this Doha by yourself to know all types of diseases born out of weakness of gunas in human beings.

We can see that in horoscope if sixth house or lord is associated with Lagna or with other combination, person is entangled in these weaknesses and forgets God and it’s prime objective of it’s birth.

Sixth house is also called as Upchay Sthana means that by will and continuous efforts, native can overcome it.

Further in Doha 121 Ram Charit Manas Uttara Khand, it gives the remedy to overcomes these .

राम कृपा नासहिं सब रोगा ! जौं एहि भांति बनै संयोगा !!

सदगुरु बैद वचन विस्वासा ! संयम यम न विषय कै आसा !!

रघुपति भागति सजीवन मूरी ! अनूपान श्रद्धा मति पूरी !!

एहि विधि भलेहिं सो रोग नसाहीं ! नाहिं त जतन कोटि नहिं जाहीं !!

Rāma kr̥pā nāsahiṁ saba rōgā! Jauṁ ēhi bhānti banai sanyōgā!!

Sadaguru baida vacana visvāsā! Sanyama yama na viṣaya kai āsā!!

Raghupati bhāgati sajīvana mūrī! Anūpāna śrad'dhā mati pūrī!!

Ēhi vidhi bhalēhiṁ sō rōga nasāhīṁ! Nāhiṁ ta jatana kōṭi nahiṁ jāhīṁ!!

Due to the blessings of Rama, all disease are cured. If due to coincidence one gets healer in form of Sadguru (spiritual master) and has faith in his words, does not get involve in sensual gratification, lives in discipline, follows rules (as said by sadguru). Rama devotion is medicine for all diseases. The intelligence is best with faith only. Only by this method all disease will be cured, all many- many other initiatives will be useless.

I)A) Rahu (or Ketu) acts as three planets and signifies houses as per these three planets SS and PS status.

III)              Rahu (or ketu) acts as its star lord SS & PS Status.

In the example above For Tr.Rahu:

·        Rahu as own  SS & PS Status

·        Rahu in Virgo sign so house represented by Mercury as SS & PS status.

·        Rahu in sun’s star so houses represented by Sun SS & PS Status

·         

Similarly for Tr. Ketu acts as  Ketu, Jupiter, Saturn’s SS & PS Status.

I )B) The Principle is that any Planet in the Star or Sub of Rahu (or Ketu) will be treated as if the Planet is also in the Star or Sub of the Planets which Rahu (or Ketu) represents as per above Rule I.A.

II) Stellar Status of Tr. Planets (SS) :

1. Houses occupied as per Table A by the Star lord of Tr. Planet.

For example in above table sun is in Saturn’s star so Tr.Sun will be significator of houses occupied by Saturn in above Row VII,Table A. :6,3,4,5,9,4,6,10,4,5,6 = 3,4,5,6,9,10.

 III)A ) Conditions for Positional Status of Tr. planets (PS) :

1. There is no planet in its star zone area.
2. Tr. Planet in its own star.
3. The mutual exchange of nakshatra lords between two Tr. Planets than both will attain PS.
4. If Rahu (or Ketu) is star lord of Tr. Planets and Rahu (or Ketu) act as Tr.Planet as per Rule I.B.

In above example :

Condition 1 :There is no planet in Mars’s stars , Moon’s star, Mercury’s star  and Ketu’s star hence these planets attains positional status.

Condition 2 does not apply in above example.
Condition 3 is applied as Jupiter is in Venus star and Venus in Jupiter Star, so both Jupiter and Venus attain PS.

Condition 4 Since Rahu acts as Mercury and Sun and Tr. Mercury is in Rahu as Star Lord so Tr. Mercury will attain PS.

We can see that mercury is PS two times due to condition 1 and 4.

III)B) Houses signified by PS Tr. Planet

In above example PS  Tr.Mars will be significator  as in Row III,Table A =  2,1,6,8,5

Combination for Apologizing in astrology.

Query :

Plz share,discuss What r the house, planetary combination that makes a guilty person to realise his mistake n say sorry to the other person for his own behavior?

Answer by me :

Clean heart is the first requirement for such attitude. So 4H should be free from maleficence influence.

10H or Lagna should be strong so that step can be taken by him easily without hesitation.

Dharma-karma Adhipathi yoga or Satwic planets in trines or aspecting lagna can be the additional strong reason as person acts as per Dharma rules.

Apologizing is the Dharmic act, it should be kept in mind.

Intention behind apology is more important.

Real apology is only the spiritual one, other types of apology are due to fear or due to greediness. There combination will differ.

Apology due to fear means transit at that moment 6L will be powerful and Moon or 4H will be weak and afflicted by malefics.

Apology due to greediness comes when Rajasic Planets like Mercury or Venus are more influencing moon or 4H.

I am giving Jyotish Lectures in the class.

It is like that : sometimes Jupiter (teacher), other time Mercury (student)....

Mercury matures to become Jupiter and again Moon (new random thought due to restlessness or fickleness ) enters in Jupiter's domain, New Mercury is born, matures to Jupiter and cycles goes on and on...

The story that wife of Jupiter abducted by Moon and than Mercury is born is crystal clear now....

To stop this cycle complete 'Bhramcharya' is needed, No new thought no more mercury :)). 
Hence MahaYogis moves to solitude place and whenever they are seen, never teach,  they only bless...

It is like when Mercury rises from Rajasic Guna to Sattwik Guna matures to Jupiter at Rajasic Guna and teaches and transfer the digested knowledge to new mercurians but when Jupiter rises up to Sattwik level He only blesses.

I think this is the evolution process of thought and final dissipation in the mother's nature.

Serpant Curse as per Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (Curse due to snake).

If Jupiter, lord of lagna, lord of the 7th house and lord of the 5th house are all devoid of strength, the person will be without a son.

8 ravi ara rahu shanayah sabalah putrabhavagah

Tada anapatyata chet syurabalah putrakarakah

If sun, mars, rahu and Saturn endowed with strength occupy the 5th house while Jupiter be devoid of strength, then also the person will not have sons

9 putrasthanagate rahau kujena cha nireekshite

Kujakshetragate va api sarpashapat sutakshayah

If rahu be in the 5th house, aspected by mars, or if rahu in the 5th house be the house of mars, the children will be destroyed due to the curse of serpent

Chandrena sanyute drishte sarpashapat sutakshayah

If the lord of the 5th house join rahu and Saturn be in the 5th house along with moon or aspected by moon, there will be destruction of children due to serpent curse.

11 karake rahusanyukte putreshe balavarjite

Lagneshe kujasanyukte sarpashapat sutakshayah

If Jupiter joins rahu, the lord of the 5th house be devoid of strength, lord of the lagna joins mars, then there will be destruction of children due to serpent curse

12 karake bhaumasanyukte lagne cha rahusanyute

Putrasthanadhipe duhsthe sarpashapat sutakshayah

If Jupiter joins mars and rahu be in the lagna, lord of the 5th be in 6/8/12 houses, there will be destruction of children due to serpent curse

13 bhaumanshe bhaumasanyukte putreshe somanandane

Rahumandiyute lagne sarpashapat sutakshayah

If mercury as the 5th lord be in the navansh of mars and associated with mars, rahu and mandi occupy the lagna, there will be destruction of children through serpent curse.

14 putrabhave kujakshetre putreshe rahusanyute

Saumyadrishte yute va api sarpashapat sutakshayah

If the 5th house be the signs of mars (aries, scorpio), the lord of the 5th be with rahu, even if aspected by or joined by benefics, there will be destruction of children due to serpent's curse

15 putrastha bhanumandarah swabhanuh shashija angirah

Nirbalau putralagneshau sarpashapat sutakshayah

If Sun, Saturn, mars, rahu, mercury and Jupiter occupy the 5th house, the lords of the lagna and the 5th houses are weak, there will be destruction of children due to serpent's curse

16 lagneshe rahusanyukte putreshe bhaumasanyute

Karake rahusanyukte va sarpashapat sutakshayah

If lagna lord or jupiter join rahu and the 5th lord joins mars, there will be destruction of children due to serpent's curse

17 grahayogavashena evam nrunam gyatva anapatyata

Tad doshapariharartham nagapujam samarabhet

The effects for destruction of children are based on these combinations of planets. Remedial measures include worship of the snake god

18 swagruhya uktavidhanena pratishtham karayet sudhih

Nagamurti suvarnena kritva pujam samacharet

The worship is done for a gold idol of snake, as per rules

19 go bhoo tila hiranya adi dadyat vittanusaratah

Evam krite tu nagendraprasadat vardhate kulam

Donating a cow, land, sesame seeds, gold etc as per procedure. By doing these, by the grace of the king of snakes, the family will flourish

Encounter of various system in my journey of astrology.

When i started learning astrology, i probed into all type of system of fortune telling available to me way back to year 1995. Started with Godmen's sun signs, numerology, Palmistry, etc  than jumped to finally Parashara & Jaimini.
 
In 1997, when i joined ICAS, Jaipur and started having systematic studies under guidance of stalwarts teachers.
I always had deep interest in Parashara and Jaimini system as both these system compliments each other as well as a complete system to study the various complexities of human life. Since Human behavior and karma does not have any boundaries, in these system dept of understanding is also vast, infinite and complex.
I always loved challenges and complexities.

In this Modern Era many researched minded scholars did researched in above subject and for the sake of simplicity and easiness, they came out with various new methods. No doubt their efforts are of great worth.
I started to probe various modern system so that some new researched with respect to modern context could be known.


KP system:
I read KP system as developed by Prof. K.S.Krishnamurty. I found the two things can be picked from this system to get greater understanding for using Parashari techniques.

One is house division known as Placidus system. amoung various house division, this system was very well researced and practiced by the author so i directly adopted this house division and neglecting other till more researched is done.

Second is adding many new significance to Houses. They have classified nearly all aspect of modern events in one's life to houses.
for example their was no interview word in classics, but 3rd house denotes interviews. like wise it is better and easy to learn and understand various significance of houses (bhavas) from this system under modern context.


All other works was irrelevant to me so i didn't had any interest for it.

System Approach of Sri Choudhary :

This system basically give very large importance to Mool rasi like venus mool rasi is tula, sun is leo , moon is vrishav, mars is mesh, mercury is kanya, saturn is tula, jupiter is dhanu. They consider other lordship as weak.


From this system i understood the various in-dept intricacies and importance of Mool Rasi (roots rasi).

Though i don't find interest its methodology as whole.

Krushna's Astakvarge :


The basis of this system is 8th house. This system comsider 8H as the Karak for the house in consideration, for 1H, 8H is karak , for 2H, 9H is karak , etc.
Here i found a very new outlook to understand 8H. This system also give the reasons for the allotment of 120 years vimsottari dasa based on the logic of astakvarge and nakshatra.

It's Ayanamsa which i reject completely in the same way as Raman's Ayanamsa.

Ayanamsa :

I stick to Lahiris's Ayanamsa because one very big reason was attached to it. Sri Yogiraaj Shyam Sunder Lahiri  was Kriya Yoga master and the direct Sisya to Mahamuni Baba.
Secondly my Master Sri K N Rao and Sri Satish Sharma, Sri Shakti Mohan Singh stick to it.

Lal Kitab :

Most confusing and difficult for me in all the system i came across in my short journey till now. Even Ramal is far easy than Lal Kitab.
After putting 6 years in this subject and various interaction with stalwarts of this subject and acquisition of all original five volume transliterated in Hindi, with over 25 books including some rare photocopies and books of Sri Krishan Ashant, late Smt. Amrita Pritam,  i am able to grasp some of its basic intricacies.

This system gives excellent discription on House - Planet relationship. 

Nadi Astrology mainly of Sri R G Rao of Bangalore.


One of the best works on Planet-planet relationships.

There is many similarities with Lal kitab as basics

Sun or moon afflicted in the horoscope.

I encounter with this video and just few combination flashed in my mind.

If their is saturn+ketu or saturn+ rahu or sun+saturn, any combination in the chart.

This is advice to listen to this video whenever they think for their parents.

Some thoughts for coming new year 2011-12 for India : Mundane astrology.

Dear Members,

Hare Rama Krsna,

Today, i am trying to explore the mundane astrology using principles taught by my teachers in my early days in schools but i never gave any importance to it. These are the authentic tools and can be properly re-searched at modern context.

This year entry of Chaitra Sukla Pratipada at Delhi [77E13,28N40], India will be on 3rd April 2011 at 20:04:09 hours.

The chart is:

 

List of Cabinets for this new Samvatsar :

1) King : Since this new year start from Sunday so the king should be Sun [one school stick to this day] but at morning the tithi is Amavasya therefore as per panchang rules whole day is considered amavasya , therefore next sunrise Pratipada tithi will rising on Monday so finally the King is Moon. [Another school consider this hence controversy]

Results of Moon as King : Normally there will be plenty of rains and abundance of all kinds of crops, vegetation and milk. [all karaks of moon]. Lakes and dams will be full. People will be happy, prosperous and religiousminded.

But Moon is placed in 6H in above horoscope indicate fights over water resources, floods and calamities due to heavy rains, Destruction of crops and vegetation and due to practice to black marketing by greedy peoples there could be shortage of food and rise in prices. Challenges for the government machinery in controlling above Mal-practices by capitalist business empires. It can indicate spread of water borne disease.

Moon is 10th lord with number of planets in 6H, Ministers will have to face many challenges at every matter of country.

King is akin to Lagna therefore moon placement in 6H will bring over-all poor health of the country, loans will increase and fear from enemies, disease and natural calamities will come to pass.
